Ann’s Pumpkin Nut Bread



  ● 2 cups sifted flour

  ● 2 tsp. baking powder

  ● 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  ● 1 tsp. cinnamon

  ● 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

  ● 1 tsp. salt

  ● 1 cup canned pumpkin

  ● 1 cup sugar

  ● 1/2 cup milk

  ● 2 eggs

  ● 1/4 softened butter

  ● 1 cup chopped nuts ; (optional)


Preheat oven to 350°. Sift together first 6 ingredients. Combine pumpkin, sugar, milk, and eggs. Add dry ingredients and butter; mix until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in well greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 45-55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
